"Freedom of expression and security on the Internet are not contradictory but complementing values in the information society.", so lautet ein Fazit eines während des UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) stattgefundenen Workshops mit dem Thema "Freedom of Expression as a Security Issue". Die Experten aus Europa, Indien und den USA waren sich auch darin einig, dass unabhängig von nationalen Grenzen die Inhaltspolitik der Privatwirtschaft mit dem Grundrecht der Meinungsfreiheit in Einklang sein muß.
